What is a ligature logo?
Ligature logos are logos that use the name of the company in the actual logo.
How would describe the corporate identity of ESMA in 5 words?
Innovative, Vintage, Alternative, Diverse, Relevant
Which logo out of the two do you feel is the strongest and why?
I think my first design is stronger because it shows how the overall company is vintage with the record in the S but also is innovative with the modern font and the use of removing a stroke, with describes the company of ESMA.
If you had no requirements or restrictions how would your logo look different?
I would make a more colorful design and would incorporate different fonts into the design.
Explain which ligature techniques you have demonstrated on each logo:
In the first design, I used the ligature technique of removing a stroke. Removing the stroke in the A gave it a more modern and innovative look. In the second design, I used the ligature technique of building bridges. Building bridges gives the design a sense of unity and the font and colors give the design a modern and relevant look.
